Honk for Mildred!
We start this movie off in a park, and it's a lovely park! With trails, riverboat rides, and all sorts of lovely things. There's a bit of an extended visit, but that's ok, because there's some nice shots. After that, we take some sights of the town, until we stop at, yes, a JUICE PRODUCTION PLANT! Some great shots here of fruit being peeled, squeezed, canned and boxed! Then, off to the beach, remember when cars were allowed on the beach? Interesting shots here. Love how the two women parked themselves right in front of a roadway on the beach. What's the purpose of that? Hmmmm

Florida attractions of 1947
The first half of this home movie was taken at Bok Tower Gardens outside of Lake Wales, Florida in March 1947. This is still an attraction for visitors today. Colorful flowers and cypress trees make for a lovely sight. After seeing one of the Atlantic beaches (possibly Daytona?), we go to orange groves and a fruit processing factory. The film is in good shape and retains much of its color, although (like many older color films) it is a bit dark.
